Clarifying your VISION

TLDR Great companies are built on great visions… focus your team today so you can achieve your vision tomorrow.

  1. Clear & easy to understand or communicate

  2. Specific about what success will look like for your company

  3. Aspirational

  4. Forward-thinking & progressive

Defining your guiding principles is the first stop in the Framework for Success, and today we are going to talk a bit about VISION. Your vision has to be something you can see so clearly in your mind’s eye, that you can recreate it in your current world. It should be simple and easy for others to understand.

As discussed previously, your vision statement effectively translates your NORTH STAR by defining what the company aims to achieve– it explains the dream, the long-term goal, and clarifies the direction the organization is heading in.

Taking the time to clarify your vision first is essential to teeing up the meaning behind your MISSION. In order to do that, think through a few questions –

  • What’s the problem my company will solve?

  • How can your company/offering change the current approach to that problem?

  • What does the future look like when this problem is solved?

  • Why do others care about this problem?

  • What types of solutions exist now?

  • Why are you personally invested in creating a solution for this problem?

Are you ready to articulate your VISION for your organization?

At Sea Sprite, we ground your business strategy in your WHY. It all starts with your North Star. If you get really clear on your purpose, everything else will flow from there.

We can help you create a strong, intention-based operating framework which will provide structure that allows you to–

  • Define corporate-level objectives and key results

  • Create a framework for team-level strategic initiatives

  • Evaluate the people, tools and processes needed to successfully execute the plan

If you are ready to get clear, let’s talk!
